  • Laugh your pants off – Your kids will recognize Kevin James from Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Grown Ups, and Grown-Ups 2. You probably remember him as Doug Heffernan in the CBS Sitcom, The King of Queens. James will bring his stand-routine to the Auditorium Theatre Friday October 24, at 7:30 pm. Want some more laughs? Are you a fan of truTV’s hit series Impractical Jokers? See the comedy team behind the show, live at the Auditorium Theatre November 21.
  • Be colorful – Since the 1970s, productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat have been enchanting and entertaining audiences worldwide. From November 11 to 16, Joseph will take over the Auditorium Theatre, with real-life husband and wife duo, Diana DiGarmo and Ace Young, taking the lead roles. Based on the “coat of many colors” story from the Book of Genesis, this production gives a family-friendly, rock & roll-esque take on a timeless story.
  • Get spooky– Before Halloween comes and goes, participate in one of the remaining Rochester Candlelight Ghost Walks through varies parts of the city. Since 2004, these ghosts walks have led citizens and visitors alike through the history of Rochester and it’s numerous ghosts stories.
  • Host a ladies night out – On November 1, the Auditorium Theatre will host Girls Night: The Musical, a show about five female friends on a wild and adventurous night out on the town. The soundtrack is filled with some of the biggest hits of the 80s and 90s, so you’re sure to catch yourself singing along as you witness their adventures and misadventures.
  • Catch your favorite Rochester team – The Red Wings may have migrated south for the winter, but the Rochester Americans and Rochester Lancers are up and ready for the competition. What better way to show some hometown pride than to head over to the Blue Cross Arena and cheer on Rochester’s teams?
  • Pack up the gang and head to the big top – The circus returns for a five day stop (Oct. 29-Nov. 2) at the Blue Cross Arena. As expected, it is sure to bring laughs, wonder, and tradition. In its 143rd season, The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus is guaranteed to entertain and leave you awe-inspired and amazed.
  • Discover new music or rock out to some favorites – Between the Main Street Armory, Water Street Music Hall, and the Auditorium Theatre, there are music events to suit whatever your mood or tastes. Some highlights from the fall season include: Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly & the S.O.S. Band, John Brown’s Body, and Lake Street Dive.
